Wow! A lot of drill for the money!

I bought this drill set since I had purchased a similar model for my father-in-law over a year ago and he has just raved about it. Please note the following:Pros:-Well-balanced-Feels substantial and professional grade-Compact size compared to other drills that I have used-Tremendous torque (be sure that you do not drive the screws right through the wood)-LED light works really well, great for professionals who work in tight work spaces that are dimly lit-Easy access to forward/reverse switches-Batteries charge quickly and maintain their charge-The carry bag is convenient- Long-term feedback from my father-in-law reveals it to be a real work horse with no surprisesCons:None yetFeels like I am driving a high end sports car in comparison to using my old DeWalt 14-volt cordless drill12 month update: still works great. No regrets, this is a great drill for the homeowner or professional.

cool lil' driver set

I gotta say this is a nice little driver/ drill set, the impact drives up to 1/4" lag or #14 wood screw pretty effortlessly. I run a small shop and made the switch from Bosch 18V nickle metal hydride drivers to these makitas and couldn't be happier.....my only complaint being the short battery life with the stock 24 Wh Li-ion batteries. This however can be fixed by purchasing the upgraded 3.0Ah Li-ion batteries, which will drive screws all day long on a single charge.

Different drill than advertised

Makita LCT306W 18-Volt Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless 3-Piece Combo Kit I received my Makita LCT306W 18-Volt Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless 3-Piece Combo Kit on April 11, 2011. I placed the order on Sunday and received the tools on Tuesday using Free Super Saver Shipping. The included drill was the newer model, LXFD01. Some reviewers of this drill have complained about chuck wobble in this model, but that is not a problem with the drill that I received. I am 100% satisfied with the product and Amazon's service.
