Bosch is better than I expected

I research Bosch and Makita. The impact driver in Makita has brushless bearings but has plastic gears; plain and simple. The Bosch has all metal gears. Get the hammer drill because it is amazing. both have LED lighting. The battery recharges and hold their charges whereas some of the Makita batteries do not. I recommend this combo kit and buy individual tools like saw, jig.

panasonic cordless drill guy for years but when you drive as many screws as we do in our cabinet shop the driver cant be beat.as fast and as powerful as ourair guns without air hose getting in the way.charge meter on batteries is very handy

A flexible pair drill and driver

This was a gift for my son.I chose it because you use the drill most of the time but when building a deck for example, the drill is used to pre-drill the holes and the driver to drive the screws without having to change bits.I chose a hammer drill because it works a lot better when drilling through masonry.The drill has an adjustable clutch so smaller screws aren't overdriven.The kit comes with two battery packs. The light weight one keeps the tools light.The heavy battery provides lots of power for big jobs
