5Well Worth the Investment!
By Canuto B. Borromeo
I have been using the drill and saw for over a month and I can't be happier with my purchase. It's really come in handy around the house and yard. The saw cut through a 4 1/2" fallen branch in less than a minute and then went to town on other smaller branches around the yard for over an hour without a problem. The drill is robust, durable and perform like a champ. This is a must for any DIY'er or Professional.

5As good as a coordless combo gets
By Max Power
I got this combo set refurbished from ACME Tool. They are a big outfit, but I've done business with them before and they are great, the refurbished stuff has always been like new, and I've never gotten a bad motor or bad battery. I got this package for $170. It included both 3.0ah full size lithium batteries, which alone would cost that much, and they looked brand new. So basically buy two batteries and get two tools, a bag, and a charger for free. Each tool had a small scuff on it, and each battery had a small scuff, not a ding or a scratch, just a scuff.I tested the hammer drill on a kitchen remodel doing some light duty stuff, but it worked just as good as my brand new one. It's all metal guts, and all metal chuck. I gave it to my dad with the charger and one of the batteries, and he's done some light duty stuff with it since then. The hammer drill has three settings, hammer, drill, and drive. It's good at drilling, or fastening when you don't want to ram rod what your fastening (the clutch adjusts torque). It doesn't have as much power as the small 18v impact driver, but that isn't adjustable torque and can't drill concrete. So the drill is basically a really versatile all-purpose drill. It also has a speed setting and a brake (so it brakes when you take your finger off the trigger). The brake on milwaukee cordless tools is metal, instead of dewalts/ridges/makita's plastic, that's the #1 reason I think milwaukee is worth the extra $10 per tool. The little LED light clicks on when the drill powers on and times off after a second or two. I also have a few Ryobi 18v lithium drills. There really isn't much comparison, and there shouldn't be. The Ryobi's have plastic chucks, plastic clutch, and gets bogged down easier. I wouldn't be surprised if internal gears on those were plastic too.The one hand sawzall is more heavy duty than the picture implies. The guts are all metal. The 18v battery on it is nice. They make a 12v version but the operating life on those is so short and sawzalls really chew up the juice because it can be faced with some pretty high resistance applications.. cutting through 2x4s, cutting through metal pipe, etc. I got it for close counter work under sinks. I have a 2h full size one too and a couple 2h Ryobi 18v ones. This 1h model has more power than Ryobi's 2h. It's great for plastic pipes. It's also good for 3/4" copper pipes. 3" cast iron pipes for a 1920 house's old boiler system would be too much, that would chew up batteries like candy.Hope that helps.
