I won't go to all the trouble (and repetition of earlier reviews) on each tool individually. If I find any problems, I will update this review.I simply think it's important that the reader understand that this set contains the best of three tools.The reciprocating saw is the DCS380, which is the model that has the adjustable pivoting shoe, 1-1/8" stroke and the four position, keyless, blade clamp. It does have the ability to do flush cuts.The drill is the 1/2 inch DCD985 hammer drill, drill, driver. With the all metal transmission, selector and variable adjustment clutch this is a great all around tool. The 20V MAX provides outstanding torque and endurance. This tool set includes the side handle attachment for the DCD985.The final tool that needs to be mentioned is the DCF885 impact driver. This is the top of the line for 20V drivers from Dewalt without going into the brushless line. It has plenty of torque and includes 3 LEDs with a 20 second delay along with a handy belt clip.The light is a gimmie;. It's included in all the sets whether you want it or not. Nothing special. It is handy and seems durable. It will last a long time on the 20V battery.Again, this is not a complete review on the tools. The review is primarily to point out that many of the sets include a lower quality drill, driver or saw. This is one of the few sets from Dewalt to include the premium versions of all three tools.I will add this. I've been a fan of cordless drills since the dark ages when they first came out and lasted for a very short time. This drill is very good. I can't say that it's better than my old Milwaukee cordless, but I can say that it has more torque and I do like the light. My point though, was that the drill was the universal tool for me = drill and driver. So, this is my first dedicated driver and I really like it. First, it's very light so the included clip makes if very handy to hook onto the tool belt. It's super easy to drive to the correct depth. I like the adjustment on the drill for driving, but if you really need precision, this is better. The ability to quickly snap drivers in or out and not have to worry about them staying on the nut or screw is also welcome. I've lost several bits that way. Finally, the three LED light is really helpful in those tight, dark spots. This is a great set.

This is a wonderful buy. I love the power and life span with the 20V Li batteries. I also love the four position head on the sawzall. Beware, you will find some kits that look the same but don't come with the same sawzall!! The sawzall that they come with is far inferior. I just wish that there were a larger kit that included this sawzall.

I received my DCK492L2 set about 2 months ago. I recently purchased my first home and have found many uses for the tools. I believe they are well built and provide a decent battery life. 4/5 stars because they are nice, but not amazing. I have no complaints except Dewalt has yet to release more 20V cordless tools. I would like to purchase a finish nailer, but don't want to start adding 18V tools to the 20V set. They are a good value for light duty work. I would recommend this set to any homeowner.
